Laser Treatments

IPL

What is IPL?

IPL, Intense Pulsed Light, is photo rejuvenation using visible light to help target the “browns and reds” in our skin such as hyperpigmentation, photo aging, acne, enlarged pores, benign vascular lesions (telangiectasias, angiomas, PWS, rosacea)

What do I need to do to prepare for an IPL treatment?

We ask all our patients to refrain from any fake tans and remain out of the sun 3 weeks prior to any laser treatment.

How long does an IPL treatment take?

Depending on the area(s) being treated, your appointment can take 30 minutes to an hour.

Is there heal time with IPL?

This treatment will/can cause “micro-crusting” which can last up to 3 weeks depending on area(s) and concerns being treated. You can also experience a slight sun burn sensation for up to 3 days.

What is the after care for IPL?

You can ice treated area in 15-minute increments until any heat dissipates.You will not want to have any sun exposure for 3 weeks post last treatment, or throughout the duration of your treatments. We also ask for 24 hours immediately post procedure to refrain from working out, or any activity that can raise your core body temperature. After 7-10 days you can start exfoliating treated areas again. All post-care instructions will be discussed during your appointments.

Laser Skin Toning

What is Skin Toning?

Skin Toning is a laser treatment that stimulates collagen production, combats deep pigmentation, melasma, and tones pores for a brighter, smoother, healthier complexion.

What do I need to do to prepare for a Skin Toning treatment?

We ask all our patients to refrain from any fake tans and remain out of the sun 3 weeks prior to any laser treatment.

How long does this treatment take?

Skin toning in a quick treatment and appointments can range anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes, depending on areas being treated.

Is there heal time with Skin Toning?

There is very little down time with Skin Toning. You may notice some slight redness and a sun burn like sensation post treatment.

What is the after care for Skin Toning?

You will not want to have any sun exposure for 3 weeks post last treatment, or throughout the duration of your treatments. We also ask for 24 hours immediately post procedure to refrain from working out, or any activity that can raise your core body temperature. After 7-10 days you can start exfoliating treated areas again. All post-care instructions will be discussed during your appointments.

Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing

What is Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing?

Non-ablative Laser Resurfacing is creating small heat channels into the skin, like aerating a lawn, forcing the tissue to create brand new collagen. This treatment is good for treating fine lines, deep wrinkles, acne scaring, surgical scaring, and overall skin rejuvenation.

What do I need to do to prepare for a Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing treatment?

We ask all our patients to refrain from any fake tans and remain out of the sun 3 weeks prior to any laser treatment.

How long does a Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing treatment take?

Each appointment is dependent on how many areas are being treated. This treatment does require numbing for 30-45 minutes per area being treated.

Is there heal time with Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing?

We tell all our patients to expect around 5-7 days of heal time. You may experience some redness, swelling and dryness post treatment.

What is the after care for Non-Ablative Laser Resurfacing?

You will not want to have any sun exposure for 3 weeks post last treatment, or throughout the duration of your treatments. We also ask for 24 hours immediately post procedure to refrain from working out, or any activity that can raise your core body temperature. After 7-10 days you can start exfoliating treated areas again. All post-care instructions will be discussed during your appointments.

Body Contouring and Skin Tightening

What is Body Contouring and Skin Tightening?

Radio frequency skin tightening is heating the epidermis to stimulate the production of hyaluronic acid, elastin and collagen fibers leading to tightening. RF Body Contouring is heating up the subcutaneous layer of the skin that contains fat, destroying, shrinking, and liquefying the fat cells that our bodies lymphatic system absorbs and disposes.

What do I need to do to prepare for a Body Contouring and Skin Tightening?

Preparing for your appointment is easy, we ask you to come extremely hydrated! We also ask for you to come to your appointment with no metals on.

How long does a Body Contouring and Skin Tightening treatment take?

Each area of the body being treated is generally around 30 minutes.

Is there down time with Body Contouring and Skin Tightening?

No! There is no down time!

What is the after care for Body Contouring and Skin Tightening?

Post treatment you will be asked to drink half your body weight in ounces of water.

Radio Frequency Microneedling

What is Radio Frequency Microneedling?

RF Microneedlingis an amazing 2 in 1 treatment that utilizes tiny microneedles with zones of radio frequency to help build collagen and tighten skin.

What do I need to do to prepare for a Radio Frequency Microneedling treatment?

We ask all our patients to refrain from any fake tans and remain out of the sun 3 weeks prior to any laser treatment.

How long does a Radio Frequency Microneedling treatment take?

Each appointment is dependent on how many areas are being treated. This treatment does require numbing for 30-45 minutes per area being treated.

Is there any healing time with Radio Frequency Microneedling?

We explain to our patients that the healing time can be anywhere between 2-5 days depending on treatment settings and the concerns our providers are addressing. You can expect to have possible flaking, redness and swelling of the skin.

What is the after care for Radio Frequency Microneedling?

You will not want to have any sun exposure for 3 weeks post last treatment, or throughout the duration of your treatments. We also ask for 24 hours immediately post procedure to refrain from working out, or any activity that can raise your core body temperature. After 7-10 days you can start exfoliating treated areas again. All post-care instructions will be discussed during your appointments.

Tattoo Removal

What is Tattoo Removal?

Tattoo Removal is the process of shattering ink particles into fragments that your body then absorbs!

What do I need to do to prepare for a Tattoo Removal treatment?

Like any other laser treatment, we ask you to keep the area being treated out of the sun.

How long does a Tattoo Removal treatment take?

Tattoo Removal treatments are typically very fast depending on the size of the tattoo and the patient’s comfort.

Is there heal time with Tattoo Removal?

There is very little heal time with tattoo removal!

What is the after care for Tattoo Removal?

After your treatments, you will want to drink lots of water! Water will help the small ink particles absorb into the body quicker. You will want to make sure to keep the tattoo dry, clean and out of the sun in between treatments.

Laser Hair Reduction

What is Laser Hair Reduction?

Laser Hair Removal is the process of using a laser or light to absorb the pigment in the hair to destroy the unwanted hair follicle.

Do I need to do to prepare for a Laser Hair Reduction treatment?

We ask you to come cleanly shaved in the areas being treated as well as refraining from any fake tans and to remain out of the sun 3 weeks prior to any laser treatment.

How long does a Laser Hair Reduction treatment take?

This process is dependent on the number of areas being treated! Your appointment time can range anywhere from 15 minutes to an hour.

Is there heal time with Laser Hair Reduction?

There is very little heal time with Laser Hair Reduction. You can experience some slight redness after your treatment.

Is Laser Hair Reduction permanent?

We expect about 80-90% hair reduction from your initial treatment series. Maintenance is always possible and is recommended 1-3 times a year.

What is the after care for Laser Hair Reduction?

After your appointment we recommend refraining from any activity that will raise your core body temperature. Please do not shave treated areas for 2 days and abstain from exfoliating area for 7-10 days. You will also want to avoid any creams, lotions or deodorant until heat subsides. As always, no sun exposure in treated areas throughout your treatment series or 3 weeks post last treatment.

Cosmetic Spider Vein Reduction

What is Spider Vein Reduction?

This treatment is to help reduce or eliminate any cosmetic spider veins (Telangiectasia’s), Cherry Hemangioma’s, or other pesky vascular lesions by coagulating the blood and shutting down the vessel. This procedure does is not indicated for the treatment of varicose veins.

What do I need to do to prepare for a Spider Vein Reduction treatment?

No sun exposure in the treatment area 3 weeks prior to appointment.

How long does a Spider Vein Reduction treatment take?

Our Spider Vein Reduction treatments run in time increments. Your provider will be able to estimate how much time is necessary for your concerns!

Is there heal time with Spider Vein Reduction?

There is little to no heal time with this treatment!

What is the after care for Spider Vein Reduction?

After your appointment we expect you to keep the areas treated out of the sun 3 weeks post or the duration of your treatments. Icing and wearing compression garments are optional.

Injectables

Botox/Dysport/Xeomin

What does Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin do?

Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau and Xeomin are both FDA approved neuromodulators used to help soften fine lines/wrinkles on the face.

When will Botox and/or Dysport start working?

Botox treatments typically start to kick in around 7-10 days where Dysport treatments start to kick in around 3-4 days. Both Botox and Dysport full effects of treatment will be at the 2 week mark.

How long will my results last?

Results for all neuromodulators typically last around 3-4 months, however results can last longer for some people depending on metabolism.

How long does the treatment take?

Once injection process starts, the actual injection time takes less than 10 minutes.

How can I prepare for my treatment?

Please refrain from any alcohol and blood thinning medication(s) if you are able to (aspirin, fish oil, ibuprofen, etc.)

What is the aftercare for Botox?

After any neuromodulator treatment, please refrain from any physical activity for 24 hours, do not lay down 4 hours post procedure, do not massage the injection site areas for 24 hours after treatment to help prevent the neuromodulator from moving to a muscle that it should not go to.

Dermal Fillers

Lip filler

Adds volume to the lips to help give a more plump look.

Tear trough filler

If you struggle with hollowness in the tear trough area, under eye filler may be a good solution for you. Filler in this area can help to fill the hollowness to give you a more refreshed look.

Cheek filler

Cheek filler is a great treatment for those not only looking to achieve a natural contour look, but also for those starting to lose that mid-section volume in the face. Cheek filler can help with smile lines, under eye appearance, and jawline appearance!

Chin filler

Chin filler is a great treatment option for those whose anatomy has a slightly inverted chin, as well as helps balance your side profile.

Jawline filler

This is a great treatment for those looking to achieve a more defined jawline and helps to balance your side profile

Glute Enhancement filler

This is a great treatment option for those looking to add a little bit more volume in the glute area, as well as helping with dimpling/cellulite and hip dips! The filler used for this treatment is a calcium-based filler that will add immediate volume to the area treated as well as stimulating collagen production over time for a plumper look! Number of syringes per treatment ranges between 2-4 and will vary patient to patient depending on desired results and area/reason for treatment.

What to do/avoid prior to your dermal filler treatment

Prior to your filler appointment, avoid physical activity for 24 hours prior, refrain from any alcohol and blood thinning medication(s) if able (aspirin, fish oil, ibuprofen, etc.). To help reduce bruising/swelling, taking arnica tablets 2 days prior will help shorten your healing time.

After care for dermal fillers

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours after treatment. Avoid excessive rubbing/massaging over the treated area for 2 weeks. Please allow 2 weeks for full recovery of the treated area.
